The railway station for S-Bahn (local and regional train) is located at Terminal on level 1. Departures and arrivals from platform 1,2 and 3.
The railway station for the long distance trains is located at the AIRail Terminal, next to the Terminal 1. Departures and arrivals from platform 4,5,6 and 7. Skyline and buses connect the both stations with Terminal 2.
S8 and S9 run from the airport to the Hauptbahnhof, the main train station in Frankfurt. Departures every 5 - 15 minutes, the trip takes 11 - 15 minutes and costs: adult € 3,60, children € 2,15. Timetable »

The bus stop at the terminal 1 is located in front of the Arrivals halls and at the Terminal 2 on level 2 in front of the Arrivals and Departures halls.
(bus nr 61, 68, 73 to Kelsterbach and no. 975 stop at Terminal 2, all other buses stop at Terminal 1 only).

S1: Route: Munich Airport - Neufahrn - Moosach - Laim - Munich Hauptbahnhof (main train station) - Marienplatz - Ostbahnhof.
Departures every 20 minutes, daily 0551 - 0011, mon - fri also 0431, sat - sun also 0531. The trip takes 13 minutes to Neufahrn, 33 minutes to Moosach, 45 minutes to Munich Hauptbahnhof and 53 minutes to Ostbahnhof. Ticket fare € 8,80/single ticket, € 10/day ticket (valid for the entire network).
S8: Route: Munich Airport - Ismaning - Ostbahnhof - Isartor - Marienplatz - Karlsplatz/Stachus - Hauptbahnhof (main train station) - Pasing - Geltendorf.
Departures every 20 minutes, daily 0402 - 0142. The trip takes 33 minutes to Ostbanhof, 41 minutes to Hauptbahnhof, 50 minutes to Pasing and 1h20min to Geltendorf. Ticket fare € 8,80/single ticket, € 10/day ticket (valid for the entire network).

Lufthansa Airport Bus run to Munich North and Munich Center. Route: Terminal 1 - Terminal 2 - Central Area - München Nord - Hauptbahnhof (main train station).
Departures every 20 minutes daily 0620 - 2140. Travel time 25 minutes to München Nord and 40 minutes to Hauptbahnhof. Ticket fares: adults € 10,50/one way, € 17/return ticket, € 75/10 trips, children (6-14 years) € 5,50. Timetable »
